About Eric Will
Eric Will started his gymnastics career at Elliot Junior High in Altadena. This small Junior High was the starting point for many famous NCAA champions as well as two Olympians. Eric won the city-side championships in his culminating year of Junior High. John Muir High School was his next step, and he was a member of the high school team that was set to win CIF until the top team member George Greenfield, a member of the ’72 Olympic Team, dislocated his arm. In high school, Eric placed consistently on Pommel Horse and Horizontal Bar in invitations and CIF championships. After graduating from John Muir High School, Eric spent the next two years at Pasadena Junior College with one of the Nation’s Best College teams. The team had won 126 consecutive competitions against other Junior Colleges as well as Universities such as USC and UCLA. Eric finished up his college career at CSUF where he was a member of the 1974 National Championship Team. He competed all-around and mainly specialized on his two favorite events, Pommel Horse and Horizontal Bar.
